01 HiveTrend - Big Instagram Update!

In case you missed it, Instagram has been making a lot of improvements recently.

My favorite is “Message Editing Up To 15 Minutes After Sending.” 

I hate it when I accidentally send something with big typos and only realize after hitting send. Now it’s an easy fix!

02 HiveTip - Learn From Podcasts More Deeply

You know how in podcasts with epic guests they tend to ask some form of “What’s the best advice you ever received on ____?” or “Any best tips for people looking to do _____?”

👂 It’s common to hear their answers, feel the dopamine of hearing them, and just mildly use them in life, but let me challenge you to go further.

Though the wisdom they share took mere seconds to speak, this is their best advice after years, if not decades, of experience helping them level up.

This advice is integral to how they do things that it’s now a part of them.

🏃‍♀️ Instead of just moving on to the next podcast as quickly as possible.

What if you set aside some time to reflect on the lessons learned and filter it through the business, organization, or big goals you’re working on?

This one change might make the difference between a fun anecdote you can share with others and actually turning leveraging the hard-won lessons you hear to transforming your life and business.

03 HiveTool - This Tool Is Easy To Use, Free, And More Powerful Than Most Paid Things

Have to make videos, write articles, or do any other copywriting a regular basis and struggle with coming up with ideas?

If so, you need a swipe file.

🗂️ All “swipe file” means is a place to capture good examples of content ideas, headlines, copywriting, visuals, etc. Anything that could be good inspiration when you sit down to do your own content.

The most common advice is to have your swipe file in one place, and it’s pretty good advice.

That being said, I often use the save features on social media for this purpose. It’s super quick and easy.

04 HiveTake - It’s Not Real Until ___.

When running a business you sometimes encounter situations where people seem very excited to purchase your product or service. For nonprofits, this could also look like potential donations or other help.

The thing this, sometimes these things fall through for one reason or another, and if you’re not prepared for it, it can cause major disappointment.

That’s why it’s important to remember this idea:

It’s not real until there’s money in the bank.

Or to make it more universal to things outside of just sales:

It’s not real until it’s real.

Remembering this idea helps to keep your expectations grounded. You can appreciate that people seem excited, but you’re also more prepared if things don’t end up happening.
