Your Weekly Buzz on Social Media, Culture, and Whatâs Happening in Chattanooga.
Do you ever feel like your morning routine isnât TikTok-worthy? Me too. But algorithms are changing, TikTok is backtracking, and Chattanoogaâs riverfront is about to get a glow-up. Letâs break it down quick.
In Chattanooga
From NoogaToday, we have been presented with a graphic of what the Chattanooga Riverfront might look like, and the first phase of construction is set for early 2026. If you have opinions, you are still able to share your thoughts.

đŹ YouTube is testing a new Shorts editing feature that warns creators when captions, stickers, or elements might get blocked by UI overlays.
đ¸ Meta is considering ad-free, paid versions of Facebook & Instagram in the UKâsomething theyâve already launched in the EU for âŹ5.99/month.
𧾠Threads has added profile topic tags, new quote/reply controls, and an updated video playerâgiving users more control over their content.
đ TikTok (finally) removed the AI âchubbyâ filter after backlash.
đą Instagram might introduce a picture-in-picture feature, allowing users to scroll while watching videosâbasically TikTokâs entire model.
Whatâs the takeaway here? Platforms arenât just responding to user behavior. but are pushing new ones in hopes that we follow. Theyâre going to start giving us longer videos, more tools for engagement, and even more control over our feeds.
Do You Never Feel Fulfilled?
A post that hit me this week really shifted my perspective on ambition and fulfillment.
In the post that I came across, Ali was talking about how you can hustle and hit every milestone, but if you never pause to define what actually makes you happy, you might just be chasing fulfillment in an infinite loop.

Storytelling: Whatâs Actually Working?
Iâm being honest with youâitâs okay if your content doesnât go viral. BUT it does need to be interesting and worth the watch.
YouTube is literally warning content creators that poor design choices will hinder content performance.
And Instagram is pushing longer videos, whether we want them to or not!
I think we get caught up in the idea that we need to follow trends, but what we really need to focus on is making content people care about. We need to stop chasing engagement and start earning it.
Ashton Hall, a fitness influencer, just went viral. Not for a crazy workout, but for his 5 ½ hour morning routine that includes a banana peel facial, two ice baths, and multiple bottles of Saratoga Spring Water.
I give to you Duolingoâs recreation.
