01 HiveTrend - “This Initial Owes You A ___”

What is it?

A piece of video content showing b-roll of the product, service, or experience you offer, with text on top that says “This initial owes you a____,” and then shows the letter.

This is a fun trend, especially if you have a business or organization with broad appeal, like coffee, ice cream, music, restaurants, etc.

02 HiveTip - Get Fresh Perspectives

Have you ever been working on something, felt it was perfect, only to wake up the next day and see countless things you would change?

Similarly, have you had a major epiphany about your life or business path, felt 100% confident, only to talk to a friend who pointed out many things you hadn't considered, helping you to tweak or completely pivot your plan?

👁️ Perspective is one of the greatest tools for refining our projects and paths.

Let your projects and decisions breathe.

Run them by trusted friends.

Research what has worked—or gone disastrously—on similar projects or decisions.

03 HiveTool - Make The Most Of Your Notes Apps

Organization is effortless for some and a monumental task for others.

As someone in the monumental camp, one thing has helped my digital notes more than anything else:

🔎 Search.

Here's the basic idea.

Whenever you take notes in your chosen app, take a few seconds to imagine your future self.

If you were trying to find the information in this note, what keywords would you search for?

I usually cram those into the title. For example, if this section were a note, I would type something like:

"Notes App tip, search, Apple Notes, Notion, Organization, Business Buzz tool, etc."

Then, whenever I need to find it, I just search.

The real upgrade to this system is as follows:

Whenever it takes you longer to find a note you're looking for, fix the search terms in the title based on what you were hoping to find it with this time around.

The notes you recall often become easier and easier to pull up instantly.

I know this tool isn't for everyone, but for those who try it and love it, you're welcome. 😉 I hope it changes your digital life as much as it did mine.

04 HiveTake - Remind Me

"We need to be reminded more than we need to be taught." - Alex Hormozi

This line has stayed in my head rent-free ever since I heard it.

It’s wild when I think about how many times I’ve "learned" a lesson only to not apply it to my life, business, and creativity.

Here is one of the things I’m doing to cement lessons in my mind:

🔁 Instead of listening to a really insightful podcast with loads of nuggets once and then moving on to new ones, I’m now listening to powerful podcasts on repeat until I can’t stand it.

There are several Tim Ferriss and Alex Hormozi podcasts I’ve listened to 20 times by now.

It’s really seeping into my being, and I’m finding myself applying what they say to my everyday life.
