🐝 The Business Buzz ☕️

Happy Monday!

Here’s the Business Buzz with A Helpful Trend, Tip, Tool, and

a Hot Take from HiveThink to help you this week.

01 HiveTrend - Trending Song & Content Inspo

🐣 The song “Million Dollar Baby” by rapper Tommy Richman has gone viral on social media and is the basis for a lot of easy and fun content.

Check out this video from zo for inspiration:

He starts with the text on screen “Me: nah that song doesn’t even go that hard” and then shows him passionate dancing with text on the screen that says “Also me:”You could use a similar idea applied to your business or organization.

1st line:

“Me: (insert line showing hesitance to do the thing your business does)”

2nd line:

“Also me:”

Then show yourself (or someone else) happily doing the thing associated with your business while dancing (eating Mexican, getting hair cut, buying a house, etc.)

Here’s an example from Michael on the team:

02 HiveTip - Body Doubling

Every get stuck on a task that sends dread into your very soul?

Reach out to a friend (or multiple) and set up a time to hang out and work on the stuff that’s hard for you to do alone.

If you try it and it doesn’t help you make progress then you can have your money back from the cost of this newsletter… 😉

03 HiveTool - Better Tool For Connections

While using QR codes as a business card is a pretty great tool, I recently saw a friend (shoutout James Dawson) using a QR code on his phone to take people to his LinkedIn.

It’s a really great idea that probably does a better job of helping you stay in touch with people better than your traditional business card.

If you want to do this method, consider which social platform you use the most and link that one to a QR code. Good luck and happy connections!

04 HiveTake - Entrepreneurship Is A Mental Game

“Entrepreneurship is losing constantly with an occasional win.”

- Gary Vaynerchuk

Entrepreneurship is hard.

It means facing challenges and often failing, but it also means learning and growing from those experiences.

Some tips:

  1. Look into stoicism (or really any mental regulation philosophies or skills) to better manage the ups and downs.

  2. Listen to the podcast “How I Built This” by Guy Raz to hear successful people share the many painful failures they had along the way to success.

  3. Most importantly, make local entrepreneur friends so you can support each other.

Until next time,

The HiveThink Team

P.S. Here’s some of our favorite episodes of How I Built This to listen to:

“Honestly, you could start at the first episode and listen to them all.” - Chris
