01 HiveTrend - New Year, New Me
There’s always a big wave of energy around the idea of growth and goals utilizing New Year’s Resolutions. People have different reactions to this which means there’s an approach that can work for most brand voices.
Here’s some different ways you can play off this.
💪 01 Motivational - “you can do it!”
Become the cheerleader of your customers. If there’s a way to use your product or service to support them in their journeys do it! This is for more than just gyms or personal trainers.
Get into the mindset of your customers working on their goals and then get creative with how your product, service, marketing, or business can help them.
🧐 02 Anti-motivational - “you could do it, but why bother?”
There’s a growing group of people who reject the tradition of New Year’s Resolutions. If it fits your customer base, this is angle you can take. This could mean making offers, events, and marketing centered around things such as “not signing up to pay for a gym memberships only to stop going to them and paying for them for another year before you muster up the energy to cancel the membership.” I threw that one out there for no particular reason…

🌿 03 The Middle Path - “Sure, it’s a good time to revaluate, but I’m always focused on growth?”
This mindset could be a good fit for your crowd if they already tend to be pretty growth-focused; creatives, athletes, entrepreneurs.
With this mindset, the New Year might be an important check-in and evaluation period, but it’s most likely to be a supplement to the growth system they already have that is likely more regular than yearly.
Making content that captures the ideas below will make your ambitious growth-minded customers feel seen, heard, and understood.

🔖 Why saves are important?
While saves are a great signal to the algorithm, they also signal something really powerful is happening in your content. When people save your content it means that they found the content so impactful to them that they want to add it to their “owned media” and revisit it.
🎁 It’s special to them. Meaningful to them.
Part of their mental and digital library of favorite things.
This means that you, your brand, your business, are now in their personal internal real estate. If branding is “what people think about you when you’re not around”, then this means they think highly of you (or at least your content).
🤷🏻♂️ So, how to get more saves?
⭐️ Simple, but not necessarily easy…Provide more value.
Your content has to be good enough to create the feeling in someone that they don’t want to forget it or lose it. Whether you’re providing education, inspiration, or entertainment, this means doing your best to imagine being your ideal people and asking the question, “What kind of post is going to be so amazing that someone saves it?”

04 HiveTake - New Year Momentum With A Caveat
🔥 Most resolutions fail because the fuel people are using to work on them is inspiration and motivation.
Motivation and inspiration are great, don’t get me wrong, but they are kindling. They burn bright, but they don’t tend to sustain for the long-haul alone.
🕯️ Important to start, but not substantive enough to keep the fire going.
So, what is?
🚀 Here are three qualities/mindsets to develop in yourself to stick to your goals and achieve them.
🕰️ 01 Patience
Resolve yourself to take however long it takes to achieve your goal.
😌 02 Acceptance
Whenever you feel negative emotions attached to the goal or the process of getting to the goal, realize that’s natural, process it, and train yourself to be able to see the positive.
🙂 03 Humility
When things go wrong, you fail, or it takes longer than you were hoping, realize that this is natural. There’s part luck, but often mastery and achievement just takes time. Focus on improving each time you step up to work on your goal. Get feedback from others.
