đ The Business Buzz âïž

Happy Monday!
Hereâs the Business Buzz with A Helpful Trend, Tip, Tool, and
a Hot Take from HiveThink to help you this week.
01 HiveTrend - For Better Or WorseâŠ
đ Pokes Are Back!
Facebook's revival of the Poke feature has sparked significant interest among Gen Z users, marking a shift towards simpler, nostalgic forms of interaction on the platform.
The feature's resurgence highlights a strategic move by Meta to engage younger audiences amidst evolving social media trends.
Analyzing this revival could reveal insights into Gen Z's communication preferences and the potential for nostalgic elements to influence engagement.
02 HiveTip - Creative Thinking
đĄ When coming up with ideas, donât think of them as good ideas or bad ideas.
đ± Even the ideas that seem dumb, silly, or clichĂ© might be the seeds of inspiration that branch out to best idea you would have never arrived at without them.
As many songwriters say in writing rooms: no bad ideas.
03 HiveTool - Occamâs Razor
đȘ A principle that states that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
While not to be used 100% of the time, this mental tool is helpful for coming up with an initial hypothesis for why something went wrong, or what might be a good path moving forward.
Problem example:
Didnât make enough sales despite marketing throroughly? Is it because the economy is bad? Or maybe a super villain has threatened to destroy anyone that buys your product?
Most likely you tried selling something people donât want.
Opportunity example:
Want to come up with a new service? Sure, you could do lots of cool things, but what idea would be a no brainer for people?
Remember it with this old idiom:
âWhen you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras.â đ«đŠ
04 HiveTake - If Youâre Worried That Youâre An ImposterâŠ
Youâre not alone.
Many of us feel this way.
Especially if youâre stepping into anything new, thereâs going to be a period of time where you feel like youâre flailing.
đ Youâre not an imposter, youâre just getting started.
Until next time,

P.S. Hear the incredible story behind Naughty Cat Café in this podcast episode with one of the owners, Heath Hanson. Seriously, this story could be a movie.
