01 HiveTrend - Health & Wellness Splurging Beats Electronics & Tech
🏃♀️ According to an article in PR Newswire, health & wellness splurging is on the rise, so much so that it beat out electronics and technology.
For context, electronics and technology has held the top spot for 5 five years running.
So, what does this mean for you?
If your business has anything to do with health and wellness, this is the time to put some extra gas on the communications pedal.

02 HiveTip - “Now, Not How”
I heard this great phrase from a podcast from Noah Kagan, the owner of AppSumo:
“Now, Not How.”
💡 The Big Idea:
Don’t spend large amounts of time working in a vacuum only to find that you’re building something no one wants.
🔄 Instead, get real feedback as fast as possible from potential customers to test out a business hypothesis.
Only after you have specific feedback do you focus on adjusting “The How” based off of what you have learned.
Now, Not How.
03 HiveTool - Simple Problem Solving Process
If you are stuck on a problem in your business, try this simple, yet effective process.
💡 01 Ideas
Generate ideas for how to move towards a solution. Don’t judge the ideas… yet!
📋 02 Rank Ideas
Rank the ideas based on your confidence that you can actually do the idea, and that doing so could actually solve the problem.
This doesn’t need to be a complicated, scientific process. Use your gut, ask trusted advisors, see what Google or Chat GPT says.
🫵 03 Choose
Narrow all the options down to the next thing you’re going to try. One Thing!
Not the perfect thing, just your current best guess is good enough.
💪 04 Do
Do that one thing. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, you’ve already generated some other great ideas to try.
04 HiveTake - Be Kind To Yourself
☹️ For many, the hardest part of business for many of us is the mental and emotional side.
The worst part?
🥊 A lot of the negative feelings we feel are often a result of us beating up on ourselves.
Maybe it’s our inside world trying to help us become better, but what if we could move forward without making ourselves feel so bad?
What if we were kind to ourselves?
What if we treated more things as experiments that we were allowed to fail?
The more we’re kind to ourselves, the less rejections hurt, and the more quickly and more joyfully we can move on to the next experiment.
This ultimately takes us closer to the visions we have for ourselves and the businesses or projects we want to invest our time into.
Until next time,
The HiveThink Team
