01 HiveTrend - Veteranâs Day & Grinch Videos
Whatâs big on TikTok usually leads to whatâs big over on Instagram in just a bit, so here are two things blowing up right now.
#veteransday is the number 1 hashtag on TikTok. This is fairly normal to have a spike around a holiday. A good reminder to stay on top of making content for holidays!
#grinch is the number 2 hashtag on TikTok with lots of videos using filters of Grinch characters and using Grinch music to show how they are immediately getting into the Christmas spirit after Halloween (sorry Thanksgiving).
If youâre itching to decorate already for Christmas, then hopping on the #grinch trend may be the perfect excuse youâre looking for.
02 HiveTip - Thinking Strategic Versus Tactical
In the book, The Road Less Stupid by Keith Cunningham, he talks about how when aiming to grow most people jump straight into tactical solutions.
Hire more salespeople
Offer a special promotion
etc.
He shows the distinction between a tactical and strategic question with these two example questions.
TACTICAL: âWhat could we do to increase sales?â
STRATEGIC: âWhy are our sales numbers not twice as big? What is the core obstacle preventing the doubling of our revenue?â
The first question is more likely to lead to a band-aid fix that is symptom-focused.
The second question is more likely to dealing with your actual problem, leading to a revolutionary change in your business.
